Faculty Senate approves academic calendar changes
The Faculty Senate has approved revisions to the Academic Calendar for academic years 2017 through 2021, including the creation of more predictable, even-length semesters of 69 days of instruction over 15 weeks. The summary period will also be shortened by one day and no exams will be held on the day of commencement.

UW-Madison is launching a study of information technology governance and structure on campus. The effort will be led by Mike Lehman, a former UW interim vice chancellor and executive with Sun Microsystems.

16th annual Showcase scheduled for April 14
UW-Madison’s Showcase, which highlights creative ideas, innovations, best practices and success stories from around campus, will return for its 16th year April 14 with poster presentations, breakout sessions and a lunchtime keynote presentation.
