Photo gallery Work is underway on “The Nick”

May 21, 2018

A ceremonial groundbreaking was held May 21 for the Nicholas Recreation Center, which is expected to be completed in 2019. The event, held in the lobby of the adjacent LaBahn Arena, is the first official event to recognize a $20 million gift to the Division of Recreational Sports in honor of the late Albert “Ab” Nicholas ’52, made by his wife, Nancy Nicholas ’55, and their family. “The Nick” is being built on the site of the Southeast Recreational Facility, which was demolished in 2017.
