Madison kids ‘trick or treat’ with campus Greeks

University of Wisconsin–Madison fraternities and sororities will again host "Trick or Treat with the Greeks," a unique opportunity for area children to experience a fun and safe Halloween on campus, from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Centro Hispano, Schools of Hope to recruit campus tutors Thursday

The Centro Hispano tutoring program will have an informational booth in library mall from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. this Thursday for interested UW–Madison students. There will also be tutor training and sign-up for the Schools of Hope tutoring program Thursday evening in the Union from 2:30 p.m.-5 p.m. The programs give students of all educational backgrounds the chance to tutor pre-school to high school level children.

Center seeks collaboration to develop new leaders

The new Center for Nonprofits, launched in May, plans for degree programs, research, and continuing education and outreach efforts to strengthen the nonprofit sector and its leadership. The center, housed in the School of Human Ecology, is now seeking faculty, staff and student affiliates from across campus.

WAA, Competitive Wisconsin gain grant to launch employee recruitment partnership

A new partnership of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) and Competitive Wisconsin Inc. (CWI) will encourage University of Wisconsin–Madison graduates to return to Wisconsin to live and work. The partnership is funded in part by a $25,000 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.
